Quick and Easy Dog Treat Idea: Microwave Dog Biscuits
If you don’t have a lot of time on your hands, but still want to treat your furry baby to a bit of homemade goodness, then this recipe will be right up your alley!
Ingredients:
2 c. whole wheat flour
2/3 c. chicken or beef broth
1 large egg
3 tbsp. quick cooking oats
Directions:
1. To start, crack the egg into a mixing bowl and lightly beat it.
2. Next, stir or whisk in the chicken/beef broth.
3. Stir in the whole wheat flour.
4. Mix in the oats.
5. Now, form the mixture into a ball. You can either roll out the dough or take it by spoonfuls and place it on a microwave safe plate.
6. Microwave in batches* for 5 minutes on high. Add more time, as necessary, depending on how powerful your microwave is.
*The reason for the batches is that you don’t want the biscuits sticking together, so leave some space in between them on the plate used for microwaving.
Voila! Cool and serve. That was easy, right?!

Interesting blog, not like the others!
i am regularly jumping all around the internet almost all of the day which means I have a propensity to peruse a lot, which unfortunately isn’t usually a good matter as some of the web sites I view are constructed of worthless garbage copied from various other web pages a zillion times, nevertheless I’ll hand it to ya this blog is in truth quite informative and even has got a bit of authentic substance, therefore cheers for breaking the phenomena of exactly duplicating other peoples’ websites, in case you ever want to try a few hands of myspace poker together with me let me know – you have my email address
Both those broths are high in salt, which is very bad for dogs, especially large, deep-chested breeds. It can trigger bloat in those dogs, which can actually kill your dog. I would not feed these to my dog if they were made with broth. I’m sorry.
I have a tip. Do not microwave them for ten minutes or they might burn up in your microwave and make it smell. I recommend cooking them for 5-8 minutes if you have a powerful microwave. If your microwave is not very powerful, then you should probably cook them for ten minutes watching them very carefully.
Thanks Ali! I added that recipe when I was using a little dorm-sized micro. I’ve got a mighty microwave now and you’re right, 10 minutes is too long.
I’ll edit the recipe ASAP.
