The recipe sounds fantastic. I can't wait to make them. One question how long will these treats last after baking them?

These sound very delicious! One question: does the recipe call for uncooked oats, or cooked oatmeal?

Even in The Netherlands these treats are blisssssss.
I had to chase Flatcoated Retriever named Ollie out of the kitchen while I was putting all together. And when the biscuits went in the oven he sat in front of the oven, trying to persuade the biscuits to bake faster.

My pup LOVES these! I make batches all the time now and give them as gifts to my friends that have dogs too! I save empty peanut butter jars, fill them with these treats, tie a cute ribbon around it and share the love. They're a huge hit. My cat loves them too, by the way. I'm very happy to have found this recipe. Kudos!

Putting a little cinnamon helps to keep them longer, plus it's good for poochies. Also making sure they are good & dry & cool before putting in any containers.

I made these for my sweet yellow lab, Max, on his 11th birthday. Each time we asked if he was hungry he would come and stare at his bag of cookies. We will be making these regularly! Thanks for a super easy recipe!

Oh my goodness!!! thank you so much! My dog LOVED these!!! The only thing I did different was decrease the shortening and increase the peanut butter and oats just a smidgen. Otherwise, GREAT JOB!!! :)

@Barbara - They keep for about a week in an airtight container/ziploc bag. I find that the drier you make them, the longer they keep.

Freezing them is another option. They keep for months that way!

Hope your pooch enjoys them!

My vet told me to give my dog pumpkin for fiber so this is a great recipe. She eats pumpkin but she loves treats more. How long do they stay fresh? and can they be frozen? Thank you.
